Butler Family Letters
The Butler Family Letters are a collection of 70 original letters written between 1835 and 1863 by some of the pioneers who settled in Polk County, Oregon, and founded Monmouth University (now Western Oregon University).
Linguistics Professor Mark Davies has created and maintains a series of monumental corpora, including the Corpus of Contemporary American English, the Corpus of Historical American English, the TIME magazine Corpus of American English, the Corpus del Español, and the new (beta) Google Books interface. These corpora, ranging from 45 million to 155 billion words, have many different uses, including: finding out how native speakers actually speak and write; looking at language variation and change; finding the frequency of words, phrases, and collocates; and designing authentic language teaching materials and resources. The corpora have more than 130,000 unique users each month and serve as the basis for an increasing number of publications by researchers from throughout the world.

Virtually every aspect of modern life is covered in Readers’ Guide Full Text Mega, which features indexing for 460 periodicals from 1983 to the present, as well as full-text articles from more than 260 journals dating 1994 to the present. Articles provide access to illustrations, photographs and other original graphical data. Content is also constantly being added, as the database is updated on a daily basis to incorporate the latest information.

Register-Guard Newspaper Index
Provides citations for more than 30,000 articles that appeared in the Eugene (Oregon) Register Guard newspaper between 1963 and 2003. The database is limited to citations on local (Lane County, Oregon only) issues and people. Indexing of articles was done by staff at the Eugene Public Library.

Robert W. Straub Oregon Beaches Collection
This digital collection contains a selection of documents, photographs, and video recordings related to Oregon’s beaches from 1965-1979 that are contained in WOU Archives. Special areas of interest include the fight over the Nestucca sand spit, ballot petitions for keeping Oregon’s beaches publicly accessible, his work with the non-profit organization Beaches Forever, Inc., and materials related to Robert F. Kennedy’s visit to the Oregon coast before the Oregon Democratic Primary in 1968.
Rock's Backpages is an online archive of music journalism, sourced from freelance contributions to the music and mainstream press from the 1950s to the present day. The articles are full text and searchable, and all are reproduced with the permission of the copyright holders. As of June 2018 its database contains over 36,000 articles, including interviews, features and reviews, which covered popular music from blues and soul up to the present date.
